Review: Face 2 Face is Angelo Luster's solo debut released in 2004 and is for grown folks that relate to Intimacy, Fellowship, Quality Time and Reunion not just as words but a gift from God. Face 2 Face is an outstanding project that will have not only the bride and groom @ a wedding as one but the whole congregation. The vocal arrangements tie beautifully with the instruments and delivers an inspirational atmosphere even in the darkness moments. If there is one reason you should buy this album let it be because, of the passion to see the unsaved drawn closer to the Creator.

Saxophonist Has Unique Gospel Flavor

Oakland, CA – Native Sound Records recording artist Angelo Luster infuses the sounds of contemporary gospel and west coast jazz on his debut CD, Face 2 Face.

“A rose sprung from a rock” are the words critics use to describe Oakland, California native Angelo Luster. You will without a doubt be enraptured by the emotion conveyed through his rich soulful sound. A departure from traditional gospel music, Luster infuses Contemporary Gospel and West Coast Jazz.
Face 2 Face transcends musical and religious barriers with incomparable versatility and style as well as themes that speak to the commonalities of the human experience. The CD includes original compositions as well as traditional hymns. The title track of the CD, Face 2 Face weaves a sultry texture of saxophone harmonies between the lines of its beautiful melody. Luster showcases his versatility in his rendition of Walk With Me which is seasoned with an urban contemporary groove.
Luster has been Nominated for two sounds of soul Black music Awards for Best jazz performer, and best gospel Performer. Luster is the winner of the Jazz Artist of the year for the Urban Gospel Industry Awards.
